What is the best show/shows currently on?
Main Post:
What do you think are the best shows right now? I mean Breaking Bad, The Sopranos, Mad Men level shows. Or comedies on the level of Friends, Arrested Development etc
Shows that will be mentioned in the same lists as the above in the years to come.
Ps: When I say “currently” I mean shows that haven’t ended yet, not necessarily on air right now.
Top Comment: Reservation Dogs, only 3 seasons and it just finished this fall. Great at balancing drama with comedic moments. Main themes are dealing with grief and generational trauma while maintaining relationships in a community and it is a work of art.
Must watch TV Shows?
Main Post:
So, I've mostly watched comedy tv shows (Friends, Everybody Loves Raymond, Modern Family etc). And maybe some random drama series (House M.D., Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, The X Files) But for the most part haven't really tried a lot of other genres. I'm wanting to try different genres and maybe shows from different places as well.
Animated or live action is fine.
I have watched a decent amount of anime and cartoons. Though if it's something newer, odds are good I haven't watched it yet. Or from before the 90s, I might not have seen it yet.
I'm from the USA. I have a ton of streaming services. If it's on Prime Video I can rent it. Or look elsewhere if I have to.
Old or new series is fine with me. Documentary shows are fine as well.
Feel free to recommend me sitcoms if you want, maybe something newer or from somewhere not in the USA, though. I've watched a decent amount of older sitcoms and mid 2000s sitcoms.
TIA.

Television

Please, recommend me some good TV series
Main Post:
It's my TOP 12 favorite TV shows.
My favorite genres are science fiction, fantasy, crime and detective. I'm not against comedy, but I prefer more serious stories. What impresses me the most are strong, compelling stories that last at least 3 seasons (optional, better even more) and allow you to get used to really interesting, lively and even mysterious characters. I really like anti-heroes, regardless of whether they are male or female. My favorite actors in these shows are Andrew Lincoln, Anthony Starr and Cillian Murphy. Last thing I watched was 'Banshee' and it's an absolutely amazing and extremely underrated series in my opinion, I would like to see more. Yes, my description is pretty detailed, but maybe you can suggest something interesting based on this.
Thanks!
